A private, KYC-verified Village Operating System built to honour Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam's PURA vision โ connecting every Indian village to 21st-century digital infrastructure.
Why MaaPura exists
MaaPura exists to give every Indian village a complete, private, secure digital operating system โ free from surveillance capitalism, free from data exploitation, and free from the noise of the open internet.
We believe villages are not problems to be solved. They are communities with immense knowledge, culture, and talent that need modern digital tools โ not just a basic website or a WhatsApp group, but a full-stack operating system with 16 integrated modules.
From KYC-verified citizen identity to GPS-tagged tree plantations, from artisan e-commerce to elderly care monitoring โ MaaPura brings the entire 21st-century digital stack to the village level.
PURA โ Providing Urban Amenities in Rural Areas. That was Dr. Kalam's dream. MaaPura is our attempt to build the digital spine of that dream.
The non-profit foundation behind MaaPura
IMO is the non-profit foundation behind MaaPura โ a team of technologists, rural development practitioners, and community leaders committed to bridging India's urban-rural digital divide.
Our approach is different: we do not build for villages โ we build with them. Every feature in MaaPura has been co-designed with gram panchayat leaders, Village Administrative Officers (VAOs), elderly care workers, and the artisans who power India's rural economy.
